  • AJ loves fixing things around the house and engaging in DIY projects of various complexities.
  • His passion is to come up with effective cleaning solutions for stubborn stains from materials around the house.
  • He enjoys growing exotic plants native to the places he visits in his garden.

As a feature writer for House Blog, AJ has covered a variety of topics from garden and home improvement to cleaning. But his personal favorite would be his article titled "Overrated Gardening Tips That Aren't Worth Your Time," which dispelled common gardening myths. He has been writing about gardening and houseplants for the best part of the past decade. This love for growing things was triggered by his travels, which took him to some fascinating parts of the world. He worked as a software engineer and web developer in different countries in Asia. Along the way, and thanks to lovely encounters with quite interesting characters, he picked up new passions such as DIY, cooking, yoga, design, art, and home improvement. He loves to write about them all, along with travel, cuisines, secret cooking recipes, and life hacks.

AJ has a bachelor's degree in English and literature from Coastal Carolina University, a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Canterbury, and a Sun certification as a Java programmer.
