  • Carrie has worked as a professional freelance writer and researcher for the past 9 years.
  • Her writing work has appeared in a number of publications, including the Austin-American Statesman, where she was a regular contributor to their Homes and Gardens columns, and Amarillo Magazine.
  • Carrie's interest in overall health and wellness, combined with being a mom to two young children, inspires her to seek out simple, natural, and effective approaches to cleaning, cooking, and living.

Carrie has been a writer for nearly a decade. While studying for her undergraduate degree, she earned a place on the President's Honor Roll and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Carrie is an avid researcher; she loves the way in which writing combines her aptitude for research and desire to share ideas with others. She utilized her research abilities as a feature writer with The Orlando Free Press, where she tackled locally relevant topics ranging from Florida's red tide to the state's human trafficking crisis. She also spent two years working as a research assistant for Motivo Media. In addition to her writing career, Carrie is passionate about traveling — she is especially fond of Chile, where she lived for a year — health, human behavior, and psychology.

Carrie earned her B.A. in English literature at the University of Central Florida.
