The Dangers Of Trying To Help A Bird's Nest With Dryer Lint
Many people leave materials out to help birds construct their nests, but it's crucial to avoid using dryer lint for this purpose because it poses significant dangers to birds.
Lint from dryers often contains residual chemicals from laundry detergents, fabric softeners, scent boosters, and other laundry products, which can be harmful to birds.
In addition, dryer lint is not water-resistant. If a bird uses the material to help build a nest, there is a chance that the nest will fail and fall to the ground when it gets wet.
To safely aid birds in nest building, it's better to provide natural materials like twigs, dead leaves, feathers, straw, and grass clippings, which are durable and safe to use.
